Argon 18 E114

Training today:
Swim - 2k worth of 50s lots of variety with band/paddles/pull.
Bike - 60min and 30min at 80% FTP . RI 5min.
Run - 3omin tempo trans run.

Adusting my basic week to get a bit more rest in as I'm getting much less sleep at the moment. Hopefully it should bring on my biking which feels very average at the moment.

Kia kaha.

  1. That'll be a dura-ace di2 set up and SFA wall backdrop? :-)

Hope the adjusted week helps. Notice you've dropped an early HIM race from your schedule?

  2. Nah, that's an ordinary E114 not mine. Lol.

Dropped the HIM as the logistics of getting there with a baby were just too outragious. Can't do Dambuster eith as it now clashes with my Masters module dates. Need to find a couple of races around herebefore Roth now.

  3. I quite like the Argon frames and they have a reasonable paint job; didn't know you were now riding one.

That's a big training day! At least it is by my standards!

  4. Lots of big training days to come. That's a pretty standard on now. Must go to bed earlier and get more sleep though to make them effective.

E114s are brilliant to ride. There is debate on how aero they actually are as the frame has a diamond profile on the down tube rather than a blade/aerofoil profile. It is though incredibly comfortable with almost no road noise (it almost glides/floats along), is incredibly stiff in the bottom bracket and very stable eg hands off is ez with no trouble. It does turn like a supertanker as a result though. It is also probably the TT frame that allows you to ride the lowest and still be comfortable. Given that 70% of drag is produced by the bodies front profile, makes it one of the most aero bikes in the real world. :-)
