Turbo Dungeon

My ankle is still awful but you've got to HTFU haven't you? No? Waiting out on the injury.

Bike for the day - nothing, a tidy of the Dungeon is required.

(Was going to do: 2x 30min @ top of zone 2. RI 2min.)

Looks like I could be off to the hospital in the morning to see if I've fractured anything, or booking the local Physio for some serious Kinesio Tape action next week.

  1. If I've learned anything going Primal it's about listening and hearing what your body is telling you!

Pain = rest it, don't tape it and carry on!

    I don't see any turbo in there ... :-)

  2. The Computrainer is still in the Falklands so I'm on rollers but you know me these aren't your common or garden rolles!!! These are resistances/suspended ones so are just like riding outside. :-)

  3. Ah that would explain it, thought you were just displaying your road bike - LOL - not that there is anything wrong with displaying your bling! Suspended means you can't fall off then? I like the sound of that!

  4. It's suspended in a frame horizontally so that the whole system reacts to momentum changes ie you can get out of the saddle or sprint (Cavendish-like) and not go flying off the frame if you do it too aggressively. So it's just like riding outside. Great piece of kit.

  5. How does the resistance work then? What's the brand, sounds like a good investment although I'm guessing it would be a BIG investment LOL!

  6. There is a magnetic resistance dial on it that takes you from 50ish Watts at 15mph all the way up to 1000+Watts on L3/4 if you 'smash it'. Brilliant investment and bullet proof. You don't need an expensive hitech Turbo if you have one with a powertap, like you have. Brillant for winter training. Just don't watch an action movie and use them if you're a newbie. Lol.

The one I have is the Gucci US version from a couple of years ago made by the original manufacturer - Inside Ride (E-motion Rollers). It's a hard core set of metal rollers in a suspended frame. I think they sold the rest of the world patent recently to Elite so you can buy it from them here but it's rollers are plastic for the European version. £400 quid I think. US version more like £600 now I reckon as there's a lot of demand for them in the States.

  7. That Dungeon is incredibly tidy; puts mine to shame.

  8. I should have pulled back. There are bikes, wheels and bike bags all over the place. All clean and bike fitted though. Lol
