The Joys of... Running
Over the last 5 years I have dreamed of running (literally). I love running and it has killed me being chronically injured for so long. Today I went for a 60min on trails and farmers' fields from work and I had a proper smile on my face. It made me so happy. I was running ez, not thinking about injuries and it was as ez as breathing, just how it used to be all those years ago when I used to run 70mile weeks. I don't care how any races really go as long as I can keep the same feeling in all 3 sports that I seem to have developed over the last couple of years. The running was the final piece in the puzzle. Fingers crossed that I don't get injured again. Now where's the foam roller!!!

Open Water Swimming
Had my first open water session of the year and it was really enjoyable. Needed a bit of a warm up to get in to it but after that I practiced a high arm turnover and it felt fast and comfortable.
Weekly trg total - 11hrs.
Next week I'm starting to get back into some big trg after 2 easy weeks.

Training Camp Stats (Cervelo S3)
Had a really good trg camp in Mallorca. Unseasonably good weather with the temperatures around 24 degrees C every day. There were a lot of Cervelos out there. The best bike (apart from mine!) was an S3 with SRAM Red/SRM and Zipp 404s. There was also saw a nice Cube with Di2 on it.
Trg Stats:
Bike (x7) - 34hrs
Run (x10) - 5hrs
Total Trg - 39hrs
Easy week coming up and then back to it. Only 10 weeks left to Roth.

I Got Tiger Blood, Man!
“I’m different. I have a different constitution, I have a different brain, I have a different heart. I got tiger blood, man.” You said it Charlie!!!
I had some good stats for my bike test today. Big jump in my CP5 and a decent rise in my CP20. Swimming stayed the same which is to be expected as I've been averaging 2 swims a week this month. Not worried about this as its all a compromise to get the balance of sports right to get me faster on the run in the summer.
Don't just do your best, do what's required. Oh, and have Tiger blood flowing through your veins like Charlie Sheen.
